L. Maxine Cole

L. Maxine Cole, 95 of Lake Placid, Florida (Formally Pierceton, IN) went to meet her Savior at 5:26 PM, June 26th, 2015 in the Good Shepherd Home Sebring, Florida. She was born in June 27th, 1919, in Bourbon, Indiana to Hubert Ray 1889/1960 Lillie Viola (Lutes) 1896/1981 Fawley. On November 8, 1937, she married Alson Roy Cole 1914/1993 in Pierceton, who preceded her in death on February 2nd, 1993. She is survived by three sons. Dr. Larry Gene (Cheryl) Cole, Yorktown, IN Marathon, FL.; Terry Max (Cindy) Cole, Warsaw, IN.; Robert Dale Cole, Lake Placid, FL.; Six grandchildren and six step grandchildren; Twelve great grandchildren and six great - great Grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; also great nieces/nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by brother James Arthur “Tom” Fawley (1913/1985) and a sister Theresia Irene Fawley - Cole (1918/1994). She attended Monroe elementary and graduated from Pierceton High School Class of 1937. She lived the most of her life on the “Family Homestead Farm” at the north edge of Pierceton, prior to moving to Florida and living with her son in 2013. A life member of Pierceton American Legion Post Aux. Unit 258 PRIVATE graveside services only; Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
