Kevin C. Smith

Kevin C. Smith Sr., 54 of Warsaw passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. in his residence. On October 17, 1960 he was born in New Brunswick, NJ to Patricia and Tex Smith. He grew up in Highland Falls, NY and in 1994 moved his family to Etna Green, IN. where he was a member of the Etna Green First Responders for 14 years, Multi-Township EMS for 7 years, and the Etna Green Lions Club. Kevin served in the U.S. Army and was stationed with the 1569th Transportation Company, Ft. Dix, NJ. He also deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm/ Desert Shield. He loved his children, grandchildren, and dear friends. He enjoyed fishing, family gatherings, The Famous Sunday Breakfasts at the Smith house, going out on the pontoon, deer hunting, joy rides on his Harley Davidson, and helping anyone that he possibly could whether it was medically or to just to give a word of advice. He is survived by his mother Patricia Petit, NY, brother Michael Smith, NY, step-brother Butch Petit, NY, His brother from another mother Andy (and Spouse Patti) Cook, Etna Green, his five children, Kevin (and Spouse Candice) Smith II, Etna Green, Shawn (and Spouse Jen) Smith, Atwood, Patricia “Missy” (and Spouse Bob) Fritz, Mexico, Olivia (and Spouse Ben) Hanes, Peru, Celeste Smith, Warsaw. Thirteen grandchildren- Braxton, Gavyn, Holden, Trinity, Taner, Expected grandbaby #14 Taylor (October), Koresin, Lilly, Jacob, Jayton, Jaslyn, Benjamin II, Rodney. Kevin Sr. was preceded in death by his (father) Tex Smith, (sister) Annette Smith, (Father-In-Laws) Lawrence Robinson and George Haley, (Step-Father) Norm Petit, and one grandchild Brianna Smith. A celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at The Heritage Park, Etna Green with Military Honor Warsaw American Legion Post #49 and the Military Funeral Honors Guard.
