Kenneth N Baber

Kenneth N. Baber, 90, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at home.

Kenny was born on January 30, 1933 to Earl and Mable (Keesey) Baber in Miami County, Indiana. On December 24, 1952 he married the love of his life Marjorie “Marj” Walker ten days after their first date. She preceded him on May 6, 2016.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for both J & M Gravel and Coursey Asphalt. Kenny and Marj owned Baber’s Kwik-Way in Atwood, Indiana.

He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers.

Kenny is survived by his children, Gerry Baber of Warsaw, Teresa (John) Calhoun of Warsaw and Tracy (Jim) Moyer of Etna Green; eight grandchildren, Dustin Calhoun (April Elkovitch), Brianne (Bryan) Kendall, Bronson Baber, Branigan (Tyson) VanCleave, Brooklyn (Josh) McKenzie, Trista (Jeremy) Sherman, Christian (Amber) Moyer and Braxton Baber; great grandchildren, Bennett, Connor and Kaiden McKenzie, Lily Kendell, Avery and Amelia Sherman, Izabella, Maddie, Harper and Bailey VanCleave, Sam Baber and Oliver Baber; sister, Nancy Sarver as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife Marj, he was preceded by his siblings: Bill and Dick Sr. Baber and Eldonna Blacketor.

Visitation will be held on Friday December 22, 2023 from 10-12 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at noon in the chapel with Rick Baber officiating.

Burial will be in Wooden – Harrison Center Cemetery, 7995 100 S, Etna Green with military honors.
