Kenneth “J.R.” Bell

Kenneth W (J.R.) Bell Jr, age  66, of Atwood, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 in Milford, Indiana. J. R. was born January 19, 1954 in Warsaw to Kenneth W. Bell Sr and Anna Beatrice (Marshall) Bell. He was united in marriage to Gwendolyn K. Sammons on May 2, 1992 in Claypool, IN. He was employed in several factories in Kosciusko and surrounding counties. Primarily he was self-employed painter, carpenter, and furniture restorer. He enjoyed making cigar box guitars, playing the harmonica and was an avid blues and classic rock fan. He was a talented woodworker and enjoyed fishing. J.R. is survived by wife, Gwen Bell, Atwood; children, Chuck, David, Amber and Lynae Bell, Carrie and Carmen Finken, Lilly and Chase Howard; grandchildren Monica Mullins, Kylie Cook; great-grandchildren, Ember Kern and Makynley Cook. Also surviving are siblings, George Bailey, Debbie Henley, Oliver “Tiny” Marshall and Brenda Daniels. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lesa Dye. A Private family service is planned at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, on Thursday, October 1, 2020 with Pastor Hedgel Perry officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
