Kathy Ann Allen

Kathy Ann Allen, 64, of Etna Green, Indiana, , died on 10/23/2009 at 10:23 pm at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana. She was born on April 6, 1945 in Middletown, Ohio. Kathy was born to the late Martin and Helen (Smith) Doench. She graduated from Lebanon Monroe High School, Monroe, Ohio in 1963.During her life, she was an avid quilt maker, seamstress, cook and gardener. She enjoyed all of nature, especially bird watching and spending time with family.Kathy is survived by her husband; George D. Allen, Etna Green, Indiana, whom she married on April 23, 1966 and continued to be devoted and loving wife for 43 years.She was also a loving mother to her two sons, Duane Allen of Leesburg, Indiana and Timothy Allen and his wife Katie, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and grandmother to her six grandchildren: Kyle, Matthew, Allison, Nathaniel Bishop, Jax Bishop and Madigean.She was also a caring and devoted sister to her surviving brother, Martin Doench of Tennessee.She is preceded in death by her Parents, Martin and Helen Doench, brother Dahl and mother and father-in-law, Oscar and Mary Allen. Services will be held at Graveside services at Etna Green Cemetery, Etna Green, Indiana on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Calling hours will be 11:00 - 1:30 pm at the funeral chapel on Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Burial will be at Etna Green Cemetery, Etna Green, Indiana. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
