Kathleen N. Anderson-Takacs, 84, of Pierceton, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.
Kathy was born on August 14, 1940 in Prestonsburg, KY to Darwin and Jane Gibson. On April 17, 2004 she married Bill Takacs in Gatlinburg, TN, who survives.
She was the owner and operator of Pizza Stop & Subs for 31 years in Pierceton. Kathy enjoyed traveling, some places she enjoyed seeing were Spain and Myrtle Beach, SC. She loved her animals, especially her outside cats, and any animal she came in sight with. Kathleen loved animals so much that she wouldn’t even run over a caterpillar if she saw one and always felt bad for the deceased animals in the road. She adored her grandkids. Kathleen liked to read and tending to her garden, especially her flowers.
Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bill Takacs of Pierceton, son John Michael (Tina) Anderson of Belleview, FL, grandchildren Katie and Jack Anderson also of Belleview, FL, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in passing by both parents, her first husband Jack Anderson, sister Bettie Sue Easter, and brother Jackie Wayne Gibson.
A visitation with family and friends will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, November 25, 2024 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels in Pierceton, 105 S. First St, Pierceton.
Funeral services in celebration of Kathleen’s life will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at McHatton Sadler Funeral Chapels – Pierceton with Pastor Larry Burkhart officiating.
Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family kindly request the memorial donations in honor of Kathleen’s love for animals be made to the Animal Welfare League, 1048 325 E. Pierceton, IN 46562.
