Katherine I. Hyden

Katherine I. Hyden, 87 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 11:43 am Sunday, April 12, 2015 in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. On May 3, 1927, she was born in Van Lear, Kentucky to Otto and Rosie (Thornbury) Young. She was united in marriage to Eugene Hyden on November 2, 1946 in Paintsville, Kentucky, who preceded her in death on January 25, 2005. Katherine moved to Warsaw in 1963, where she worked as a CNA/QMA at Miller’s Merry Manor for twenty seven years. She enjoyed yard sales, reading and crocheting. Katherine is survived by three daughters, Patty Ann (and spouse Danny) Clifton, Lagro, Christine (and spouse Johnnie) Spears, Wabash and Charlotte L. Smith, Warsaw; four sons, Roger Hyden, Warsaw, Larry (and spouse Suzanne) Hyden, Mentone, Anthony E. Hyden, Warsaw and William T. (and spouse Lydia) Hyden, South Whitley. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Loucks, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Glen H. Hyden and two daughters, Tina R. Hyden and Sharon J. Tucker. A funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 16, 2015 in First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation hours will be from 11:00 – 1:00 pm Thursday, April 16, 2015 in the church.
