Julia “Judy” A. Stokes, age 83, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 in Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Judy was born October 8, 1937 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Don and Maxine (Darrow) Arnold. She was united in marriage to Robert Stokes on April 5, 1958. She was born and raised in Fort Wayne and lived the remainder of her life in the Warsaw area. Judy was a cook at Mentone School. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Warsaw. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and was well known to be totally dedicated to her family above all. Judy is survived by husband, Robert Stokes, Warsaw; children, Tammy (Jeff) Virgil, Etna Green, Tim (Pat) Stokes, MI, Sheryl Hanna, Warsaw, Shelly (Steve) Poling, Warsaw, Todd (Sherry) Stokes, IL, Shawn (Elizabeth) Stokes, Elkhart, Joel Stokes, Warsaw. In addition, she is survived by 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren with one on the way: brother, Gregg (Cindy) Arnold, MI, brother-in-law, Gary Pickett, Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Mark “Buckwheat” Hanna, grandson, Travis Perney, one brother, Terry Arnold, 3 sisters, Pat Pribernow, Marsha Banks, and Debbie Pickett.. Interment will be at a later date. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with all arrangements.
