Joyce Eileen Smith

Joyce Eileen Smith, 88 of Claypool, Indiana passed away at 11:50 am Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw.   On July 30, 1928, Joyce was born in Warsaw, Indiana to Fred and Fern (Warning) Hunter. She was united in marriage to Lewis H. Smith Jr. on August 23, 1952 in Warsaw. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1999.   Joyce was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County where she graduated from Warsaw High School. She worked for Playtime for twenty-two years and then for KMC, until retiring in 1991. She was a member of Claypool United Methodist Church and also American Legion Auxiliary, Post #49, Warsaw since 1954.   Her son, Mark Smith, Claypool, survives her.   A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2016 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Mike Settles officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation hours will be from 10:00 Am to 12:00 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Chapel.
