Jon Charles Kurczbuch, age 79, of Warsaw, IN passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 at 10:45 PM in Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw. He was born on July 20, 1939 in Lubna-Jakusy, Poland to Chezlaw and Janina (Wieczoreck) Kurczbuch. He was a survivor of a WWII forced labor camp. After surviving the forced labor camp, he and his folks settled in Valley Center, KS. From their he moved to Newton, KS where he graduated high school. He attended Illinois Institute of Technology, where he completed his college degree in Chemistry. He worked for 45 years as a Chemist in Chicago and transferred in the 1980’s to Flint Ink here in Warsaw where he eventually retired from. Jon was a non-denominational Christian and supported many charitable causes. In addition, he was an avid golfer, huge Chicago Cubs fan, and thoroughly enjoyed his cable television. He is survived by his Son; Paul Kurczbuch of Warsaw, Daughter; Renee Luka of Chicago, IL, Brother; Charles “Charlie” (spouse Cathy) Kurczbuch of Newton, KS, Sister; Theresa (spouse Gary) Reuter of Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by 1 Brother; Joe (spouse Neilia survives) Kurczbuch. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 3:00 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the Service from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Chaplain Bob Jarboe will officiate the Memorial Service.
