John Lenick

John Lenick, 78, of 3375 West 100 North Warsaw, Indiana, died on 10/29/2009 at 7:45 PM at Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on May 26, 1931 in Darkwater, Pennsylvania. John “Poppie “Daddio” Lenick, dearly beloved father, entered heaven on October 29, 2009 while surrounded by his children. He was most recently a resident of North Manchester and Warsaw, Indiana, but also a long-time resident of East Liberty, Ohio, South Bend, Indiana, Baltimore Maryland, Dover Delaware, and Middleport, Pennsylvania. Mr Lenick is survived by his four children, sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. They include children Rosa (Big Jim), Michael (Lynne), Susan (Byron), and Stacy (Robert); grandchildren Matt, Randi (Mike), Nikki (Brandon), Melanie, Tyler, Austin, Ashleigh, Gillian, Sawyer, Ariel (Josey), DaLynn, Justin, Kiersten, Austin, Beccalina, Alysha; and great-grandchildren Dallas, Madison, Kaylie, Madeline, Brian, and one great-grand-dog Dexter. He is also survived by sister Tootsie, sister Helen, sister Rosalie (Phil), sister Patsy, brother Adam, and sister Sandra. Mr. Lenick was preceded in death by his first son John, brother Andrew, sister Julie, sister Gloria, brother Michael, and cat Snitty. Mr. Lenick was a veteran of the United States Navy, a hobbyist pilot, fisherman, watercolor artist, great father, and fast friend to everyone he met. Funeral service will be privately held and not open to the public. Burial will be at Marion National Cemetery Marion, Indiana. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Warsaw, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
