Joe W. Reffitt

Joe W. Reffitt, 77 of Claypool, Indiana, passed away at 8:30 am on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Bremen Health Care Center, Bremen, Indiana. On march 27, 1934, Joe was born in Floyd County, Kentucky to Dan and Martha (Marsilett) Reffitt. He married Jospehine Adams on June 9, 1956 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. She preceded him in death on September 26, 1992. Joe moved to Claypool in 1959. He worked for Gatke Inc. and then he worked for Creighton Brothers. Joe was a member of Claypool Pentecostal Church of God. Joe is survived by 2 daughters, JoAnn (and spouse Joe) Bradley, Claypool and Kim (and spouse Kelly) Schneider, Bremen; 1 son, Wayne (and spouse Richelle) Reffitt, Silver Lake; 3 grandsons, Joshua Bradley, Warsaw, Kellen Schneider and Kasey Schneider, Bremen; 1 granddaughter, Jessica Bradley, Claypool; 1 brother, Floyd Gene (and spouse Ann) Reffitt, Warsaw and 1 sister, Josephine Yates, Warsaw. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Vickie Reffitt, 3 brothers and 7 sisters. Funeral services will be at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 11:00 am with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Claypool. Visitation hours are from 4:00 - 8:00 pm, Monday, December 5, 2011 and 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
