Joan “Joni” Renee Clay

Joan “Joni” Renee Clay, age 48, of Warsaw, IN passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on August, 5, 1969 in Huntington, Indiana to Greg D. and Jane E. (Underhill) Smith. She has been a Warsaw resident since 1977 and was formerly of Huntington, IN. On September 30, 1995 she was united in marriage to Lon J. Clay in North Manchester, IN. She worked at Biomet for 26 years in various positions. She was a member of Warsaw Community Church. In addition, she was an avid reader and gardener. She also loved her dogs and grand-dogs. She is survived by her Husband; Lon Clay of Warsaw, 4 Children; Samuel (spouse Holly) Richardson of Battle Ground, IN, Kailin Clay, Kylee Clay, and Courtney Clay all of Warsaw, Mother and Father; Jane E. and James Friermood of Huntington, IN, Siblings; Jeff Smith of Peoria, AZ and Jennifer Frankle of Huntington, IN also survive. She was preceded in death by her Father; Greg D. Smith. Visitation is scheduled on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A Funeral Service with 1hr prior visitation; will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 10:00 AM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. At the family’s request visitors are asked to refrain from wearing black clothing. Pastor Jeff Pfiefer will officiate the Funeral Service. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
