A visitation in Jo Lynn's honor will be held on Friday May 22, 2026 from 12-1:30 pm with services following at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Larry Burkhart officiating.  Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Jo Lynn O’Connell, 78, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne.

Born on February 4, 1948, in Peru, she was the beloved daughter of Clyde and Ida Belle (Reece) Stoner. Jo Lynn graduated from Southwood High School. She moved to Fort Wayne where she resided for 25 years until 2013, then moved to Warsaw to be closer to family and her granddaughter’s sports activities.

Jo Lynn worked as an Assistant Vice President for Swiss Reinsurance, until her retirement in 2013. She also was the prior treasurer of her HOA. In her personal time, Jo Lynn took pleasure in photography, birding, painting, poetry, and doing puzzles. She shared many days attending bible study with her friends.

She is survived by her loving son Andrew (Deb) O’Connell of Mentone, Indiana and a granddaughter, Madison O’Connell of Louisville, Kentucky.

Jo Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Claudia, and brother Richard.
