Jim Zachary

Jim Zachary James Daniel Zachary, 39, of Winona Lake, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 9:56 a.m. at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. Born April 25, 1982, in Kettering, Ohio, James was the son of Dan and Leigh Ann (Grose) Zachary. Jim has been a resident of Kosciusko County since 1988.  He graduated from Warsaw Community High School with the class of 2000. He worked as an Engineering Tech -  New Products for Zimmer Biomet, Warsaw.  Jim was actively involved in multiple local organizations including Winona Lake Town Council, Kosciusko Economic Development Board Member, CCAC Board Member, and the Miller Sunset Pavilion Steering Committee.  He was a supporter of the Kosciusko County Velo Cycling Club and very active in the area bicycling community. He loved his town of Winona Lake and adored his precious daughter, Haley. Jim is survived by his mother, Leigh Ann (Kevin) Denlinger of Warsaw; his father, Dan (Cindy Waddle) Zachary of Warsaw; daughter, Haley Grace Zachary of Winona Lake; brothers, Tom (Jenni Miller) Zachary of Goshen and Mike Zachary of Warsaw; stepbrother, Josh Denlinger, stepsister, Beth (Denlinger) Hockemeyer, maternal grandfather, Frank Grose of Warsaw. He was preceded in passing by his maternal grandmother, Diane Grose; paternal grandparents, Kevin and Charlotte Zachary; and uncle, Alan Grose. A visitation with family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A memorial service in celebration of his life will follow immediately at 12:00 Noon in the funeral chapel. Pastors Denny Wilson and Brian Smith will be officiating the service. A private Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Masks are optional, and social distancing is encouraged. No food is permitted at this time.
