Janice Owens

Janice A. (Holbrook) Owens, 86, of Warsaw, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Kosciusko Lutheran Hospital.

She was born on August 7, 1937 in Kosciusko County to Clifford and Mary (Haas) Holbrook. She married Valis Owens on July 27, 1956 who proceeds her in passing.

Janice was a graduate of Warsaw Community High School class of 1955. She enjoyed reading, cross stitch, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Janice will be lovingly remembered by her children David (Judy) Owens of Dayton, OH, Rick (Karen) Owens of Silverlake, IN, Terry (Susan) Owens of Heathsville, VA, Kathy (Mark) Schott of Fort Wayne, IN, Linda Donavan of South Bend, IN, and Lisa (Kim) Derf of Silver Lake, IN, daughter-in-law Christina Owens of Warsaw, and her sister-in-laws Julia Holbrook and Cathy Holbrook. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her husband Valis, son Scott Owens, and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

A visitation with family and friends will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday December 18, 2023 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Ct. Warsaw. Funeral services in celebration of Janice’s life will begin at 12:00 Noon in the funeral chapel with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
