Janice M. Murphy

Janice M. Murphy, 84, passed away in her home of natural causes on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Born in Rochester, Indiana on September 5, 1941, Janice was the daughter of Charles Alvin and Dorothy Evelyn (Reiff) Murphy. She graduated in 1960 from Claypool High School.

Janice worked for Uniroyal and Zimmer Biomet until her retirement.

A plain and simple woman, Janice enjoyed reading, especially about the history of the south and the Civil War era. She also loved fishing and relaxing on Pike Lake.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacey (Joe) Wong of Brownsburg; grandsons, Matthew (Britney) Wong of Brownsburg and Andrew (Rebecca) Wong of Plainfield; and 5 grandchildren: Stella, Kora, Kyler, Beckham and Kalla Wong. Janice was preceded in death by her parents.

Per her wishes, no formal services will be held and she will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
