Janet P. Deafenbaugh, 78 of Winona Lake, Indiana passed away at 12:23 on Saturday, October 5, 2013 in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. On November 11, 1934, she was born to Richard and Edith (Burke) Kelley in Ivyton, Kentucky. Living her adult life in Warsaw, she worked for Zimmer Inc., Warsaw for twenty two years as a Customer Service Representative, retiring in 1993. Janet was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Pierceton. She enjoyed playing golf, cards and marbles. Janet also was also a volunteer driver for American Cancer Society. She is survived by three daughters, Louann Deafenbaugh, Winona Lake, Linda (and spouse Rick) Shoemaker, Leesburg and Teresa Deafenbaugh, Winona Lake; three grandchildren, Michelle (and spouse Jeremy) Doerr, Nick Shoemaker and Jordan Deafenbaugh and four great grandchildren, Taylor Kammerer, Jena Kammerer, Kerstin Doerr and Kendra Doerr. Janet was preceded in death by her daughter, Janalynn Ramsey, her parents, five sisters and four brothers. A funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the funeral chapel. The family requests memorial contributions are to be made to Kosciusko Homecare and Hospice, P.O. Box 1196, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1196.
