Janet Marie Tharp

Janet Marie Tharp, 83, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 12:03 p.m. in Millers Merry Manor-Warsaw. Born July 2, 1937 in Muncie, Indiana, Janet was the daughter of Frank and Glenna (Boyd) Tutterrow. She was united in marriage to Francis Tharp in 1972 in Muncie, Indiana, who preceded her in death. She worked as a retail clerk for Owl Drug Store in Muncie and for Owen’s Grocery Store in Warsaw. She was a member of the Warsaw Wesleyan Church. Janet is survived by her children, Arick Phelps of Warsaw, 2 stepsons, Chuck (Cindy) Tharp of Warsaw, Phil Tharp of Farmland, stepdaughter, Sue Lackey of Warsaw: 16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, her friend Lorretta and many friends from her church and Courts of Colfax. She was preceded in death by both parents. A visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A graveside service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Union Cemetery, Farmland, Indiana with Pastor Keith Huffman officiating. Due to current COVID-19 recommendations, masks are suggested, and social distancing is.  strongly encouraged. No food is permitted at this time.
