Janet Imel

Janet Imel passed away December 26, 2022, in Warsaw Indiana. Janet was born on March 23, 1947, in Portland, Indiana to Virgil and Mignon Windmiller. On March 26, 1971, she married Donald Imel in Pensacola, Florida who preceded her in death on September 18, 2022.

Surviving are her son Shawn Imel, wife Traci and granddaughter Reagan, Ft Wayne, IN; son in law Thomas Ross and grandsons Andrew and Aaron, Warsaw, IN.

Janet was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Mark Windmiller, and daughter Heather (Imel) Ross.

Janet worked in education and retired as the director of the early childhood education program at Ivy Tech Community College in Ft Wayne, IN.

Janet enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as spending the winters with her husband Don in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

A private graveside service will be held in Oakwood Cemetery Warsaw at a later date.
