Jan Carter, age 62, of Leesburg, Indiana passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at 9:55 AM in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne, IN. She was born November 23, 1952 in Warsaw, IN to F. D. “Mouse” and Mary Beth (Light) Leake. She was a lifetime Kosciusko County, IN resident. She was united in marriage to Theodore “Ted” Carter in October of 1981 in Goshen, IN.She was formerly employed by Explorer Van as Director of Purchasing, Haimbaugh, Inc. as Vice President, Applied Team Technologies as President and Co-Owner, Proprietor of Leesburg Collectibles and former Leesburg Town Clerk. She was a member of the S.A.L. Auxiliary, Post #49, Warsaw. Survivors include her husband Ted Carter of Leesburg; daughter Lara (spouse John) Ryan of Warsaw, IN; brothers Kim (spouse Linda) Leake of Sholow, AZ and Rodney Leake of Pierceton, IN; nephews Derrick, Austin and Ethan; nieces Ameila and Shoshannah; grand-nephews Ian, Jayden and Milo and a grand niece Taliah. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, January 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Calling hours are scheduled from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Chapel.
