James “Jim” W. Northenor

James “Jim” W. Northenor, age 83, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11:45 a.m. in his residence. Jim was born on March 27, 1938 in Cannelton, Indiana to Walter and Louise (Jarrett) Northenor. He was united in marriage to Jean (Nelson) Reed in 1961 who survives. He was a graduate of Chaminade College Prep School in St. Louis and Purdue University. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1959 to 1962.  He retired after 40 years of service with R.R. Donnelley. Jim was a hunting enthusiast and an outdoorsman.  He was a Life and Endowed member of the NRA and was a lifetime member of the Warsaw Masonic Lodge 73, the Fort Wayne Scottish Rite and Mizpah Shrine Temple.  He had a great interest in the political and governmental process and was awarded the Kosciusko Republican Hall of Fame in 1999. He was a member of Atwood Aldersgate U.M. Church. Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean Northenor, of Warsaw; stepson, Steve (Barb) Reed, of Warsaw; grandchildren, Leah (Matt) Hoskins, Luke (Carissa) Reed, and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents, and stepson, Rick Reed. A visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021  at the funeral chapel. Pastor Mike Beezley will be officiating. Interment will be private. Due to current COVID-19 recommendations, masks are required.  The public is kindly requested to provide their own. Social distancing is strongly encouraged. No food is permitted at this time.
