James Edward Poe

James Edward Poe, age 90, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away July 11, 2011 at 6:45 PM in Mason Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw, Indiana. On February 6, 1921, James was born to Alva L. and Catherine (Cousins) Poe in Grant County, Indiana. He has been a resident of Kosciusko County since 1973. James married his first wife, Rosey Lucille Carpenter in 1941, she preceded him in death in 1982. He married his second wife, Ruby Frazier in 1986, she preceded him in death. He was then married to Opal Reynolds in 2005 in Warsaw, she is surviving. He was retired from Choretime-Brock Manufacturing in Milford, Indiana. He was well known for selling home grown farm produce from his garden. James is survived by his wife, Opal Poe, Warsaw; 1 son, James L. Poe, Lafayette; 6 step-sons; 3 step-daughters; 2 sisters, Pauline Holloway, Florida and Francis Ancil, Fairmount; 1 brother, Paul Poe, Michigan; 14 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 10:00 am at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Glen Hughes officiating. Burial will be a Park Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana. Visitation hours will be from 5:00 - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the funeral chapel.
