James E. Prater

James E. “Jamie” Prater, 41, of South Whitley passed away on February 13, 2018 at 3:48 AM in Kosciusko Community Hospital. He was born in Warsaw, Indiana on August 5, 1976 to Robert and Judy (Roberts) Prater. A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County he had formerly worked in production at Explorer Van and Trail-Lite He is survived by his children: Tarren Prater and Trevor Prater both of Warsaw; his mother Judy (Gary) Meadows of Warsaw and his father Robert (Julie) Prater of Claypool. He is further survived by his siblings Tracy Kanode of Silver Lake, Ronnie (Jessica) Prater of Warsaw, Shawn Prater of New Castle, Daniel Prater of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Scott Meadows of Pierceton, Tracey Meadows off Warsaw, Robbie ((Romero) Castro of Warsaw and Tony Meadows of Warsaw. Visitation will be on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at First Free Will Baptist Church, Claypool. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Church with Pastors Wedstel Shepherd and Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Pierceton. Memorials may be made to the family in care of McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, IN. 46580.
