James C. 'Mac' Silveus, 88, of 1634 County Farm Road Warsaw, Indiana, died on 3/10/2010 at 8:10 am at Miller's Merry Manor - Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on August 8, 1921 in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Mac was born to Curtis Walter and Audrey Mae (Laughlin) Silveus. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana. On July 12,1943 he married Jeanne Best. He was the owner (retired) of Silveus and Bradway Oil Company in Warsaw, Indiana. Mac was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, Indiana. He was a Third and Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus in Warsaw, Indiana. He was also a member of the Warsaw Elks Club, the Warsaw Moose Lodge and The American Legion Post #49, Warsaw, Indiana. He is survived by his wife Jeanne Silveus of Warsaw, Indiana; seven children including James Christian “Chris” (spouse Mary) Silveus of Indianapolis, Indiana; Anthony “Tony” Silveus of Warsaw, Indiana; Pattijean (spouse Tom Cullen) of Atlanta, Georgia; Scott (spouse Melissa) Silveus of Warsaw, Indiana; Toby (spouse Tony) Sumpter of Warsaw, Indiana;Renee' Tripp of Warsaw, Indiana and Lisa Richter of New Knoxville, Ohio. In addition, Mac is survived by 25 Grandchildren and 30 Great-Grandchildren.He was preceded by a daughter Vicki Clemens, one brother Dick Silveus and two sisters, Bette Bradway and Ilah Cormany. Mac served as a Warsaw City Councilman for 12 years. He was a United States Navy Veteran WWII. Military Honors by VFW Post 1126 and The American Legion Post 49will be provided at Oakwood Cemetery Warsaw, Indiana. Monsignor James Wolf of Sacred Heart Catholic Church will officiate the Funeral Mass. A Rosary service will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the Funeral Chapel. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Warsaw, IN on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 10:30 AM. Calling hours will be 1-5 pm at the funeral chapel on Sunday, March 14, 2010. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery - Warsaw, IN. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Warsaw, IN is in charge of arrangements.
