Jack Coleman Lowry, age 68, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at his residence in Warsaw. On March 2, 1943, Jack was born to John Webster and Elizabeth (Coleman) Lowry in Akron, Ohio. He married Sharon L. Urbine on May 15, 1965 in Angola, Indiana, she survives. Jack was a graduate of Tri-State (Trine) University in Angola, with employment at Wheel Horse Products in South Bend, Big Boy Products, RR Donnelley and Sons and Lakeside Chevrolet in Warsaw. Jack enjoyed plowing snow for many years. Jack was a former Boy Scout Leader and Civil Defense Director. He was currently active in the Hoosier Lakes Radio Club as “KC9PBQ” and a member of the National Association for Amateur Radio. Jack was known for his many activities at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds race track. He was also a member of the Lutheran Church. Jack is survived by his wife, Sharon Lowry of Warsaw; son, Russell Coleman Lowry and spouse Kari of Warsaw; a daughter, Samantha Lowry of Warsaw; one granddaughter, Alexis Anne and 2 grandsons, Phillip Coleman and Jonathan Kaine all of Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Janet and granddaughter Shelby. Jack requested in lieu of the traditional funeral service, the family host a “Celebration of Life” for friends and family. Arrangements are pending and will be updated. He requested memorials to be made to Kokomo 1/4 Midget Club or Kosciusko County Homecare and Hospice.
