Jack A. Bodkin, 70 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 5:20 am Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana. On April 30, 1944, Jack was born in Muncie, Indiana to Harold and Doris (Allen) Bodkin. He worked most of his life as a painter for Huffer and Sons until his retirement. He loved fishing, garage sales and helping his friends around their home with raking leaves and shoveling snow. Jack is survived by his daughter, Joni Bodkin, Columbia City, Indiana; his mother, Doris Balser, Durham, North Carolina; two sisters, Patricia Thomas, Warsaw, Indiana and Linda Clay, Ventura, California; three half-sisters, Kathy Kelly, Raford, North Carolina, Cheryl Morton, Aberdeen, North Carolina and Melony Cumming, Durham, North Carolina; two half-brothers, Darren Baker, Texas and Kevin Allen, Alexandria, Indiana. He is also survived by two nephews, Steven Caudill, Troy, Ohio and Robert A. Cole, Warsaw, Indiana; his niece, Robin Cole, Warsaw, Indiana and three special friends, Margery, Rita and Fran. There will be a private graveside at Hillcrest Cemetery. There are no visitation hours planned. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton has been entrusted with arrangements.
