Isaac Ike Slone, 76 of Warsaw, Indiana went home to be with his Lord and Savior and surrounded by his family at 1:15 pm Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Parkview North Hospital, Fort Wayne. On March 26, 1936, He was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Adam and Julie (Haywood) Slone. He was united in marriage to Colleen Wilson on March 7, 1953 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Living most of his life in Warsaw, Isaac worked for Kimble Glass, Warsaw as a machine operator for 36 years. He was also a member of Warsaw Family Worship Center. Isaac never knew a stranger. He was a great story teller and could draw everyones attention. He loved sitting on the porch in his lawn chair and waving to everyone who passed by. Isaac enjoyed playing pool, going fishing and taking his dogs for car rides and being surrounded by his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and a large group of friends and acquaintances. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Colleen Slone, Warsaw; four children, John Slone, Warsaw, Mark Slone, Pierceton, Diane Hurt and her fiancé Donald Dugan, Warsaw and Donna Brett and her fiancé Steve Burke, Warsaw; three sisters, Edith Stumbo, Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Ethel Harmon and her companion Ray, Churubusco and Ruby (and spouse Richard) Krebs, Warsaw; four brothers, Ervin Slone, Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Kenton (and spouse Bonnie) Slone, Warsaw, Wendell (and spouse Brenda) Slone, Etna Green, Carl (and spouse Dorothy) Slone, Warsaw and Adam (and spouse Kathy) Slone Jr., Warsaw; six grandchildren, Jason Slone and his companion Beth, Pierceton, Sara (and spouse Christopher) Yarber, Bourbon, Ryan Slone, Warsaw, Kevin Slone and his fiancé Nicky, Pierceton, Justin Hurt and Travis Hurt both of Grambrills, Maryland; four great grandchildren, Gwendolyn Page, Serenity Slone, Allison Yarber and Isaac Joseph Slone and numerous nephews and nieces. Isaac was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Clayton and Fred Slone. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, February 11, 2013 at Celebrations United Methodist Church, Winona Lake with Pastor William Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation hours will be from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 pm Sunday, February 10, 2013 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
