Irene Benson

Irene Benson, age 73, of Pierceton, Indiana passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 in I.U. Health Goshen Hospital, Goshen, Indiana. On September 22, 1939, she was born in South Bend, Indiana to Nicholas and Irene (Kovacs) Borsodi. Irene was raised in South Bend and then she moved to Kosciusko County in the late 1960's. She was semi- retired from Midwest Rake, Warsaw. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and doing word search puzzles. Irene is survived by three daughters, Chris Benson Sampson, Logansport, Vicky Benson Peterla, Warsaw and Nikki (and spouse Rob) Rose, Claypool; six brothers, Tim (and spouse Sandy) Borsodi, Steve (and spouse Barb) Borsodi, Jerry (and spouse Ruth) Borsodi, Bob (and spouse Marie) Borsodi and Jack (and spouse Pat) Borsodi all of South Bend and Nick (and spouse Kathy) Borsodi, Arizona; two sisters, Sue Jackson, Lansing, Michigan and Ella “Toots” Frederick, South Bend; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Eugene Borsodi. A funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Monday, July 1, 2013 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation hours will be from 1:00 - 3:00 pm Monday, July 1, 2013 at the funeral chapel.
