Hugh Mort, 73, of 14969 North Bonestead Road, Silver Lake, Indiana, died on 4/7/2009 at 3:50 PM at Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on July 14, 1935 in Silver Lake, Indiana. Hugh is the son of Howard and Ruby (Fisher) Mort. He was a lifetime resident of Silver Lake, Indiana.He married Margaret Morgan in 1971, Pierceton, Indiana. Hugh retired from Chore-Time, Brock in 1998. He attended Silver Creek Church of God, Silver Lake, Indiana and was a member of the National Guard.He is survived by his Wife;Margaret Mort, Silver Lake, IndianaDaughter; Wendy (Michael) Shelpman, Silver Lake, IndianaSon; Leonard (Dawn) Gagnon, Silver Lake, IndianaGrandchildren; Joshua Seitner, Nicholas Gagnon, Christopher Gagnon, Jeremy Gagnon, Heather Shelpman, and Marah Shelpman.Close Friends; Elmer and Gerry ComptonHugh is preceded in death by his Parents and Step-Father, Zennis Reed. Services will be held at Silver Creek Church of God, Silver Lake, Indiana on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 11:00 am with Pastor Tom Craig officiating.. Calling hours will be 9:00 - 11:00 am at the church on Saturday, April 11, 2009. Burial will be at Silver Creek Cemetery, Silver Lake, Indiana. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
