Holley Owsley, 69, of 597 South Old Road 13 Pierceton, Indiana, died on 9/27/2009 at 2:55 AM at his daughter's residence on Ridinger Lake. He was born on May 20, 1940 in Dock, Kentucky. Holley was reunited with his wife and the love of his lifeon Sunday. He was born to Malcom and Alice (Conley) Ousley. He was a Kosciusko County, Indiana resident since 1970. Holley was united in marriage to Gerry Smith on July 2, 1960 in Yakima, Washington. Gerry preceded him on July 28, 2003. He was a former C.N.C. Machinist for Zimmer, Incorporated of Warsaw, Indiana and retired in 1995.He also served McDonald Delivery from 1995 to 2009 and Applied Thermal from 2005 to 2009 as Driver. Holley faithfully served his nation from 1958 to 1962 in the United States Air Force attaining the rank of Airman Second Class. He was a member of the Pierceton American Legion Post # 258 of Pierceton, Indiana. Among his duties for the American Legion, Holley was a longtime member of the Honor Guard Detail serving other veterans and the community. He is survived by his loving family including two daughtersMrs. Brian (Cindy) Lursen of Chapman Lake, Warsaw, Indiana and Mrs. Jeff (Kathy) Wright of Ridinger Lake, Pierceton, Indiana. Two sons including Toney (spouse Candy) Owsley of Ridinger Lake, Pierceton, Indiana and Bubs (spouse Carrie) Owsley of Pierceton, Indiana. Also surviving are a sister Fran Fear of Oreano, Illinois and three brothers Lloyd Owsley of North Manchester, Indiana; Arnold Ray Ousley of Sellers Lake, Warsaw, Indiana and Tom Ousley of Sidney, Indiana. In addition, Holley is survived by 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife, one sister and one brother. Chaplain Clyde Grammon will officate the services. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Pierceton American Legion Post #258. Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Pierceton, Indiana on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Calling hours will be 4:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery - Pierceton, Indiana. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Pierceton, Indiana is in charge of arrangements. The family kindly requests memorials in Holley's name be made to the Pierceton American Legion Post # 258 Building Fund or Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice.
