Harriette J. Zimmer

Harriette J. Zimmer, 96 of Dunnellon, Florida formally of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 in her son’s home. She was born on February 27, 1921 to William and Thelma (Reed) Copeland in Hamlet, Indiana. Harriette was united in marriage to Robert Zimmer on December 24, 1938 in Atwood, Indiana. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1975. She was a former resident of Warsaw for 60 years and was currently residing with her son, Robert, in Dunnellon, Florida. She was a former Receptionist/Secretary for Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, Indiana. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years, American Legion Post 258 Woman Auxiliary, Pierceton, Indiana for 60 years, an Honorary Elks Member, and 40 8 and the Tippecanoe Valley Salon 135. Harriette is survived by her son, Robert (spouse Glenda) Zimmer, Dunnellon, Florida; a brother, Kenneth Copeland Warsaw, Indiana. 4 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers and a great-grandson. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the Funeral Service scheduled Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Chaplain Bob Jarboe will officiate.
