Harriet Arford

Harriet (Rockhill) Arford, 87, of Leesburg passed away on October 14, 2019 at 11:44 PM in Parkview Whitley Hospital. On December 1, 1931 she was born in Warsaw, Indiana to Morrison Albert and Isabel (Hadley) Rockhill. On September 18, 1954 in Warsaw she was united in marriage to Dr. John E. Arford who preceded her on May 16, 2013. She lived most of her life in the Kosciusko County area where she had been a Radiology Tech, a Homemaker and retired as a school Psychometrist. She was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw. She was life member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughter of the Nile, TETI Sheri #60 and a Charter Member of the Amateur Ballroom Dancers, where she received a Silver Medal with her late husband John during a competition. She loved dancing, gardening (and was a Jackson-Perkins Rose Test Member) and was loved dearly by her family She is survived by her daughter: Rebecca (Dick) Arford-Smith of Columbia City, sons: John Stephen (Linnaea) Arford of New Haven and Michael Vincent (Jan) Arford of Leesburg. She is also survived by her grandchildren: MacKenzie Arford, Heather (Adam) Harter, Jared (Julie) Arford, Kaitlyn Arford, Michaela Arford, Laura Arford and William Arford. Further survivors include great-grandchildren: Reilly Arford, Hayden Arford-Harter, Wyatt Harter and Logan Rosenquist. She was preceded by her husband John E. Arford, granddaughter: Madelyn Arford and brother: Alvin T. Rockhill. A funeral will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw with Pastor Brian Smith officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM also at the church. Burial will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.
