Glen R. Elder, age 69, of Pierceton, In., passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was born on April 5, 1944 to Howard and Florence (Slusher) Elder in Warsaw, In. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. He married Sandra Cole on November 7, 1964 in Pierceton. Glen worked as a welder for Frush Welding. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 258 in Pierceton. Glen enjoyed racing, playing shuffle board and most of all spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Sandra Elder of Warsaw; his children, Robin (and spouse Michelle) Elder, Glenda Mattern, Cami (and spouse Lowel) Miller, James Elder, Shantell (and spouse Jesse) Fugate all of Warsaw and Starr (and spouse Michael) Privett of Claypool; his brothers, Danny (and spouse Jan) Elder, Max (and spouse Mazie) Elder both of Pierceton and Jim (and spouse Ruth) Elder of Warsaw; a sister Carol (and spouse Kent) Bragg of Morristown, Tn. Also surviving is step father Max Miller of North Webster and 19 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. There will be a celebration of Glen’s life at the American Legion Post 258 in Pierceton. The celebration will held on Monday December 9, 2013 at 4:00 PM.
