Gerald M. Miller

Gerald M. Miller, 80 of Warsaw passed away Monday October 29, 2018 at 8:08 p.m. in his residence. He was born December 1, 1937 to Clarence Maxwell and Hazel (Starner) Miller in Leesburg. He graduated from Leesburg High School then Manchester College in 1960 earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and a minor in English, he also earned a Master’s Degree in 1970 from the University of St Francis in Special Education. He was a teacher in Special Education for 23 years. He taught at Larwill and Manchester High School for 5 years. He also enjoyed working for the Westside Owens Grocery Store for almost 10 years, retiring in 1983. He was of the Protestant faith, going to the New Salem Church. He sang and playing the piano in the Music Community Gospel Quartet for 4 years. He is survived by his partner Rick Jarnagin, Warsaw, a son Paul Michael (Tammy) Miller, Fort Collins, Colorado, a daughter, Lori Sue (Paul) Miller Westgate, Massachusetts and his grandchildren, Robert, Ian and Paul Miller. He is preceded by his parents and a sister. Visitation will be held on Thursday November 1, 2018 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. A Funeral Service will also be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
