Georgiana G Porter

Georgiana G. Porter, age 88, of South Whitley, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 in her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Georgiana was born on November 28, 1935 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of the late Frank and Virginia (Heal) Heath. She was a graduate of Gas City Mississinewa High School. She was united in marriage to Tom G. Porter on May 28, 1955 in Marion, Indiana.

Georgiana enjoyed being a homemaker, sewing clothes for her daughter and was known to be a great cook. She ran the books for Porter Construction business for 55 years. Georgiana enjoyed working puzzles, reading, playing cards and in her younger years playing golf. She was of the Baptist faith.

Georgiana will be lovingly remembered by her husband Tom Porter of South Whitley, son Tommy (Lisa) Porter of Larwill, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and her sister Joanne Ford of Marion . In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by a son Danny Porter, a daughter Robin Reiff and a grandson Adam Porter.

Funeral services in celebration of Georgiana’s life will be held on Friday January 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 105 S. First St. Pierceton with Jerry Hartman officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
