George Rife

George Rife, 80, of 2061 South County Road 275 East, Warsaw, Indiana, died on 10/14/2009 at 12:13 PM at his residence. He was born on March 29, 1929 in Warsaw, Indiana. George was born to Chauncy and Edith M. (Hillery) Rife. he was a lifetime resident of Warsaw, Indiana.He married Rose Ellen McClung on September 8, 1958 in Warsaw, Indiana. George worked as a welder and heavy crane operator for NIPSCO, retiring in 1989 after 29 years of service.He was a member of Celebration United Methodist Church, Winona Lake; a former volunteer fireman of Winona Lake Fire Department; member of Allen County Sherriffs Posse, Appaloosa Horse Clubs and a Volunteer Advocate for CASA.He also formerly owned R-Designs Silk Screening Company and raised Stallions and Mares.George is survived by his Wife; Rose Ellen Rife, Warsaw,IndianaDaughter; Rose Marie Bradley, Palestine Lake, IndianaSon; Rex Allen Rife, Pierceton, Indiana2 Sisters; Merl Hauth, Warsaw, IndianaLouise Hayden, Jensen Beach, FloridaBrother; Leonard Dale “Dick” Rife, Tallahassee, Florida9 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.he is preceded in death by a Son. Services will be held at Graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Calling hours will be 12:00 - 2:00 pm at the funeral chapel on Friday, October 16, 2009. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
