George L. White

George L. White, age 81, 0f Warsaw, Indiana passed away Friday, June 13, 2014 at 2:55 AM in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born December 4, 1932 in Evanston, IL to George and Vera (Dopp) White, Sr. He was a Warsaw. IN resident since 1948. He was united in marriage in Warsaw to Sally S. Siders on March 2, 1952. He was the former President of United Telephone System and was employed by the company from May 11, 1953 to December 31, 1992 and retired with 40 years of service. A quiet servant of the community he was member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church of Warsaw, a former member of Tippecanoe Lake Country Club of Leesburg, a former President of the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce and was awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash in 1990. Survivors include his wife Sally White of Warsaw, IN; daughters Nancy Valdiserri of Indianapolis, IN and Joyce (Spouse John T.) Wayhart of Wheaton, IL; sister-in-law Jeanne White of Warsaw, IN and grandchildren Kristen, Jenna and Stephen Valdiserri and Kathryn, Jordan and Joseph Wayhart. A brother John and sister Judy preceded him. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church of Warsaw on Monday June 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM with The Reverend Corinne Hodges as the Celebrant. No calling hours are scheduled.
