Gene Martin Farling, 83, Warsaw passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 9:59 p.m. in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana. On November 21, 1930 he was born to Frank and Ruth (Anguish) Farling in Muncie, Indiana. He served in the US Air force in the 580TH REPRO Squadron, a Communication Group. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Haynes on November 7, 1956 in Warsaw. He worked in management for Zimmer Inc. as a Bio Medical Engineer. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. He was a member of the American Legion Post 49, Warsaw. He was very proud of having a Private pilots license. Gene started flying when he was just 15 years old. He also liked motorcycles and he enjoy being at Chapman Lake. Gene is survived by his wife, Marilyn Farling, Warsaw; two sons, Toby (and spouse Lana) Farling and Terry (and spouse Toni) Farling both of Warsaw; three grandchildren, Courtney, Chelsey and Clay Farling. He is preceded by his parents and one brother. Calling hours will be on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be held on February 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military Honors. Memorials are to the Kosciusko Home Care Hospice, Inc., P.O. Box 1196, Warsaw, IN 46581-1196.
