Gary Lee Kneller

Gary Lee Kneller, 66, of Silver Lake, passed away at 7:55 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. Born on May 6, 1945 in Huntington, Indiana, Gary was the son of Edward and Dorothy (Jones) Kneller. He lived most of his life in the Kosciusko County area.He served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1965. He served in Germany as a supply clerk. Gary married Jennifer Gough on September 28, 2002 in Anderson, Indiana. He attended Porter Business College, where he studied Accounting. He worked as a Cost Accountant for Seletex in Lagro, Indiana. He also worked for Tri-State Harvister, Silver Lake for 17 years and for Dana Corporation, Syracuse for 25 years as a machinist, retiring in 2005. He was also a union official at Dana Corporation, Syracuse. Gary was on the Town Council of Silver Lake. He collected and refurbished wheel horse lawnmowers and tractors and loved to work in the family garden. Gary is survived by his wife, Jennifer Kneller, Silver Lake. 2 sons, Andrew Joseph (and spouse Melissa) Kneller, Anderson and Travis Saul, Syracuse. 1 daughter, Lany Saul, North Webster. His mother, Dorothy E. (and spouse Wilbur) Brake, Silver Lake. 3 brothers, David W. (and spouse Jane) Kneller, Silver Lake; Marc Alan (and spouse Teresa) Kneller, Spencerville, Ohio and Don (and spouse Bea) Ferverda, Silver Lake. 1 sister, Linda K. (and spouse Tim) Johnson, Pierceton. 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Devin and Corey Kneller, Anderson and Layne Gilliland, North Webster. 7 nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great niece. Gary was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be from 2:00 -6:00 pm Monday, June 6, 2011 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 pm Monday, June 6, 2011 at the funeral chapel. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #49, VFW Post #1126 and the ARNG, following the service. Burial will be at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund, C/o K21 Foundation, 2170 North Pointe Drive, Warsaw, Indiana 46582.
