G. Stephen Bennett

G. Stephen Bennett, age 76, of Atwood, Indiana passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 5:30 a.m. in Kosciusko community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born on June 30, 1943 in Alum Bridge, W.VA. to Gloy N. and Bernice (Woofter) Bennett. He was married to Linda Hopkins on March 25, 1963 in Warsaw, IN. He has been a resident of Kosciusko Co since 1953. He worked as a machinist for Zimmer Inc. retiring in 1998 with 24 years of service. He was a member of Warsaw Family Worship Center. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Bennett of Atwood; children, Steven R. Bennett of North Webster, Penny (Steve) Thomas of Warsaw; daughters-in-law, Brooke and Le Ann Bennett both of Warsaw; 13 grandchildren, Krystal, Matt, Andrew, Michael, Alishia, Carrie, Steven, Kyle, Darin, Morgan, Melanie, Kenyan and Brody. In addition, he is survived by 22 great-grandchildren and sister, Connie (Max) Jamison of Claypool. He was preceded in death by sons, Kevin and Robert; sister, Marlene Leiter; 1 grandson, 1 great-grandchild; daughter-in-law, Teresa Bennett; grand-daughter-in-law Brittany Weaver; stepfather, Steve Klinger and both of his parents. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with his funeral service starting at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel. Pastors William Whitaker and Carl Adams will be officiating the services. Interment will be private.
