Fred D. Neal

Fred D. Neal, 86, of Warsaw, passed away on Friday May 8, 2026, at Peabody Retirement Community surrounded by his family.

Born on October 14, 1939, in Strunk, Kentucky, he was the beloved son of Edd and Lula (Lay) Neal. In October of 1958, he would marry Ina Creekmore in Strunk. Together they would share the joys of raising three children, in love and laughter until her passing in 2018.

Fred began his career at Gatke Corporation working there for 32 years from 1961-1993. In 1994 he began working for Veada Industries in maintenance until his retirement in 2015. He was a true testament to dedication and work ethic.

In his spare time, Fred would enjoy working on classic cars, restoring 100’s over the years. He also loved watching NASCAR.

Fred is survived by his children; Debbie King, Dan Neal, both of Warsaw and Dale Neal of North Manchester; his grandchildren; Jenny Geiger, Christy Neal, Tim Beatty, Josh Neal, and Elizabeth Neal, TerriJean Kaylor, Alicia Long, and 18 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Ina.

A visitation in honor of Fred will be held on Saturday May 16, 2026, from 10-11 am, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. Services will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Matthew Rogers officiating. Burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery.
