Frank Bays

Frank Bays, age 67, of North Manchester, Indiana died at home February 27, 2012 at 6:50 AM. He was born March 31, 1944 in Floyd County, Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Sammie and Dora (Miller) Bays Jr. He married Sadie Prater on March 2, 1968 in Packerton, Indiana. He is a graduate of Prestonsburg High School, class of 1963. He worked at Dalton Foundry as an Iron Carrier and was a longtime farmer. He was a member of the Highway 13 Free United Baptist Church, Warsaw, IN. and Silver Lake Coon Hunters Club. He also was active in helping in the 4H Club over the years serving as an Advisory member. Frank was always a hard worker, enjoyed his hobbies, hunting, fishing and family time. Frank is survived by his wife Sadie Bays of North Manchester, IN; a daughter Joni (and spouse Brian) Westerberg of North Manchester, IN; 2 sisters Alice (and spouse Paul) Surface of Akron, IN and Karla (and spouse Vick) Lee of Burnsville, MN; 4 brothers Carl (and spouse Renessa) Bays of Akron, IN., Keith (and spouse Phyllis) Bays of Pierceton, IN, Ken (and spouse Diane) Bays of Akron, IN and Earl (and spouse Lavone) Bays of Garrett, KY.Grandchildren Justin and Jacob Westerberg. He is preceded in death by his parents. Service will be held on Saturday March 3, 2012 at11:00 AM at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Warsaw, Indiana.Calling hours will be on Friday March 2, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Mchatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
