Frances Oma Cormican

Frances Oma Cormican, 82, of LaPorte, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 3, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born on May 16, 1943, in Claiborne County Tennessee, she was the daughter of Howard and Lottie (Stanifer) Earl. She would marry James A. Cormican on March 6, 1965, in Warsaw. They would share 58 years of raising children, traveling, and making wonderful memories, until his passing in 2024.

She was a homemaker and loved her children immensely. They were her pride and joy. Her love for children was shown in the many years she babysat until her first stroke. She also loved to cook and keep the house tidy. Some of her hobbies included canning and ceramics. She was very well known for the yummy pumpkin rolls she made. She consumed on special occasions one of her favorite sandwiches, “McDonald’s Big Macs”.

Frances is survived by her daughter Roberta Ann Bush of LaPorte, son Keith Eugene Cormican of Kingsford Heights, 2 grandchildren Ashley (Kevin) Francis and JC Allen Bush, and 2 great grandchildren, Miranda and Colton Francis, her 2 brothers Frank (Karna) Earl and Lee (Ella) Earl of Warsaw, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, Robert James Cormican, a grandson Christopher A. Cormican, 4 sisters, and three brothers.

A visitation will be held in her honor on Friday May 8, 2026, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Warsaw, from 11-1 pm. Services will follow at 1:00pm with Chaplain Michelle Blakely and Paul Hannon officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
