Everett L. Shoemaker

Everett L. Shoemaker, 93, of North Manchester, formerly of Winona Lake, died on 12/14/2010 at 4:30 am at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, In. He was born on June 20, 1917 in Pierceton, Indiana. Everett was the son of Roy and Ruth (Hivley) Shoemaker. He was a lifetime resident of the Warsaw area. On July 27, 1940, he married Helen Wine in Winona Lake.Everett was employed by Zimmer Inc. for 47 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Winona Lake and Warsaw Masonic Lodge No. 73.He was an elder at the church and was also a member of the Amateur Radio Club W9 WAR, Warsaw, Indiana.Everett is survived by his Wife; Helen Shoemaker, Winona Lake2 Daughters; Janet Hartman, PiercetonPatricia (and spouse Allan) Koher, Huntington3 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his Parents and 1 Brother. Pastor William Whitaker and Pastor Rob Harrison will be officiating the services. Services will be held at Good Shepherd Church, formerly known as First Presbyterian Church of Winona Lake on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 1:00 pm . Calling hours will be 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral chapel and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. on Friday, December 17, 2010. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, Indiana. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
