Erik Lemler
January 12, 1965 – April 20, 2025
Erik Lemler, 60, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes in his home on Sunday, April 20, 2025.
Born in Warsaw, Indiana on January 12, 1965, Erik was the son of Richard Allen Lemler and Catherine Beth (Wiest) LaFollette. He attended Warsaw High School. His siblings say they had an awesome childhood and grew strong bonds with each other.
Erik worked at Explorer Van for many years as a laborer in the paint shop and body shop. He made many friendships there and also worked alongside his sister.
His family was very gifted with musical talent, his gift was playing the guitar. His brother, sister and he would get together whenever they could, to play and sing songs. He very much enjoyed going metal detecting and finding treasures. He was a trivia buff, knew a lot about movies and history, and enjoyed watching Jeopardy.
If you knew Erik, you knew he was quite a character and had a heart of gold. When you got the chance to really know him, you loved him. He treasured his siblings, family and kept only the good, true friends close.
Erik is survived by his sister, Nikki Sullivan of Warsaw, and his brother, C. Douglas (Maria Garza Lemler) Lemler of Warsaw; father, Richard Allen Lemler of Los Alamos, NM; half-sister, Sioux (Alex) Lemler Braxton and step-mother, Lynn Lemler, both of Rio Ranch, NM; nephews and niece: Joshua Kendall Lemler, Kellen Douglas Lemler and Lydia Maria Lemler; and great-nephew, Maddox Lemler.
He was welcomed into heaven with open arms by his mother, Catherine.
Per his wishes, Erik didn’t want a formal service, but rather wants people to celebrate the life he lived and share stories of memories with him.
