Edward “Ted” Heaton, 80, of Warsaw, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Millers Merry Manor.
Ted was born on June 17, 1944 in Warsaw to James and Floie (Henderson) Heaton. He was united in marriage to Nancy (Taylor) Walters.
He was a “Jack-of-all Trades” working for United Telephone Services, Schwans, and hauling trailers for Franklin Company. Ted was known as the “Schwan Guy” and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, especially sharing ice cream with them. He loved margaritas from Hacienda and liked to eat out with his family. He would often stop at the Brown-Marathon gas station. Ted was the last of the Heaton family. He attended Walnut Creek Church.
Ted will be lovingly remembered by his wife Nancy; children Angie Shafer, Aaron (Darci) Walters, Jeremy (Courtney) Walters, and Jill Walters; grandchildren Derek (Kyrsta) Shafer, Melissa (Todd) Kuhn, Preslie (Wyatt) Amiss, Bishop Walters, Lex Walters, Landon Walters, Lucas Walters, Bristol Walters, Scarlett Walters, and great-grandchildren Xander, Camden, Jocelynn, Wesley, Kaylea, Blakely, and Wren.
He was preceded in passing by both parents, son Tim Heaton, and numerous brothers and sisters.
A visitation with family and friends will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2024 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Ct. Warsaw. Funeral services in celebration of Ted’s life will begin at 12:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2024 in the funeral chapel with Pastor Brian Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
