Edward E. “Ed” Garrett

Edward E. “Ed” Garrett, age 69, of Columbia City, IN passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne at 4:06 PM. He was born June 27, 1949 in Fairfield, IL to Mason “Tony” and A. Maxine (Robertson) Garrett. He was a Columbia City, IN resident since 1990 and a former Warsaw resident. Ed faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1975.On September 17, 1988, in Warsaw, he was united in marriage to Beverly Clements. He was formerly employed as Computer Programmer by R.R. Donnelley & Sons of Warsaw and Essex Group, Inc. of Fort Wayne. He was Purdue University graduate, 1981, with a BS in Computer Science. Furthermore, he was a Lifetime Member of the American Legion Post # 98, Columbia City. Survivors include his wife Bev Garrett of Columbia City, daughters Stephanie (spouse Jim) McDairmant of Warsaw, Jennifer (spouse Justin) Smith of Fort Wayne and grandchildren Darby and Andon McDairmant, Olivia Kessler and Wyatt Smith. He was preceded by a sister Pat Garrett. Visitation hours are scheduled from 1:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
