Edward Charles 'Ted' Collins Jr.

Edward Charles “Ted” Collins Jr., 62 of Winona Lake, Indiana passed away at 1:20 pm Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake. On November 8, 1953, he was born in Walpole, Massachusetts to Edward and Francis (Manning) Collins Sr. Ted moved to the Warsaw area in 1995. He worked as a quality control engineer for various auto manufacturing companies; the latest company he worked for was Nishakawa Standard, New Haven, Indiana. Ted was a hardworking, loving and gentle man. He is survived by three children, Dr. Edward “TJ” (and spouse Amanda) Collins D.D.S., Niles, Michigan, Kristen (and spouse Ryan) Swangin, Columbia City and Robert (and spouse Shannon) Collins, Granger; four brothers, Thomas, Charles, Christopher and Paul; four sisters, Paula, Francis, Kathleen and Diane; eight grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Therese Collins and Jean Collins. A memorial service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Doane Beale and Ames Funeral Home, 260 Main Street, West Harwich, Massachusetts 02671, www.donebealesamesharwich.com. A luncheon will follow the service at Chapin's Fish and Chips, 228 Lower County Road, Dennisport, Massachusetts. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw was entrusted with the arrangements.
