Mr. Edgar Pippenger, 76, of Warsaw died Friday, January 27, 2023, of an extended illness, at home with
his wife of 56 years and family by his side.
Born December 15, 1946, in Elkhart County, he was the son of LeRoy “Red” and Doris (Miller) Pippenger.
He married Jackie Line on January 14, 1967.
Edgar graduated from Nappanee High School (1996) and was a carpenter all his life. He served in the
military for 3 years (1967-1970) and retired in 2020.
He loved his entire family very much and he will be MISSED and LOVED so much.
As a child and into his life, he attended Calvary Baptist Church in Nappanee and also Nappanee
Missionary Church, and then The First Baptist Church in Warsaw for a short time. He loved watching and
sometimes going to watch NASCAR races, he was a Chicago Cubs/ Bears Fan. He was also a Notre Dame
fan; especially the women’s basketball teams.
Surviving are his wife, Jackie; a daughter, Karen (Phillips) Smith of Goshen; 2 sons, James Pippenger of
Nappanee and Codi Pippenger of Warsaw. 2 sister, Terry (Tom) Richmond of Nappanee and Ginger
(Stan) Price of Milford; 2 brothers, Gary (Jill) Pippenger of Goshen and Mark (Sheila) Pippenger of
Nappanee, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was proceeded in death by both parents, a son David Pippenger, a sister Sure Biller, a grandson, and a great-
grandson.
McHatton Sadler Funeral Chapels of Warsaw are handling the arrangements. There will be no services.
Cremation will take place.
